Queen City (OH) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated
QCCL change was chartered in May 2005 to fulfill the mission of the national organization, “Friends transforming communities through service” . Our chapter focus since our chartering has been providing youth in our community unique and educational experiences through our award-winning signature programs and community partnerships:
The Nouveau Chamber Players, in partnership with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, provides African American students with opportunities to engage with other diverse student musicians; develop orchestral skills and knowledge through top-tier musical training and education, while giving access to orchestral professionals, networking, and audiences; as well as preparation for post-secondary education.
Girls STEAM Academy is in partnership with Cincinnati STEMulates, a local STEM organization which exposes African American girls to STEAM concepts and curriculum. By preparing them to study STEAM majors in college, we cultivate and empower a pipeline of African American girls in the Greater Cincinnati area who excel in STEAM careers and serve as leaders in the in the 21st century.
As the chapter strives to increase our community impact we will continue our partnerships with other like-minded organizations, community partners, and corporations to transform and enrich the lives of our underserved African American community members.
Thank you for your continued support of our chapter and programs.
